We eat our lunch there and continue our journey through the deep rhododendron forest. We pass by many settlement areas before arriving in Dhap where we will take a short break. From here, we further continue to Pattale Danda.

Note: We can stop at Dhap and spend the night there or further move to Jhapre from Pattale to spend the night on this day. But, we will spend an overnight at Pattale Danda because the site has the finest view of Mount Everest, and the atmosphere is unrivaled. The hills that surround Pattale turn red in April due to Rhododendron blossoms, and white in the winter due to constant snowfall. B/L/D

Day 4

Trek to Jhapre ðŸ•‘ 5-6 hrs

We start from a ridgeline south of Pattale and as we approach Sigane, we will get the amazing vistas of the Number Himalayan Range. We walk along the bumpy roads till we reach our destination Jhapre. Jhapre is positioned atop a deep valley with spectacular views of Everest and the Numbur Himal. Later after a brief rest, you can explore the surroundings and visit the lovely Gompa (stupa) there.

The trail becomes steeper from here, ascending through Lhamuje's rhododendron forests and small village areas. Beyond Lhamuje, the trail opens up to expose a grassland with grazing Yaks. We pass a lengthy Mani wall and some abandoned antique yak herder’s cottages. The trail then curves the hillside beneath Taklung Danda, passing through a lovely woodland track lined with rhododendrons. After 2 hours of trekking from the forest, we reach the Pikey Peak Base Camp. We will go to the Yak Cheese Factory and take in the breathtaking views of the valley's gorgeous mountains.
